JCA Foundation’s Annual Scholarship Program

The Scholarship Program is to provide financial assistance to worthy students from the Caribbean/African community, who are pursuing post-secondary studies in Ontario Universities/Colleges

JCA Membership

There is NO requirement of having Jamaican ancestry to become a member of this organization.  We are an association of individuals that share a common love and appreciation for the Jamaican cultural heritage and invite you to help us celebrate it.  The membership composition is currently 50% adults ages 25-65, seniors/retired individuals represent 30%  and youth under 25 is  20% .

The Newcomer Settlement Program (NSP)

The Newcomer Settlement Program (NSP)assists adults, youth and children who are landed immigrants or persons applying for their landed/refugee status.

The Jamaican Canadian Association (JCA) mission is to deliver programs and services, provide a physical hub, and to advocate to improve the well‐being and equity of Jamaican, Caribbean & African‐Canadian communities within the Greater Toronto Area.

Vision

The Jamaican, Caribbean & African‐Canadian communities will be a socially and economically equitable group that is represented and contributes at all levels to a strong diverse Canada.

Values

Respect & Dignity ‐ Staff, volunteers, and community members who participate in JCA activities and use its services will treat each other with respect and dignity.

Diversity ‐ We value and respect the diversity of our staff, the people who make up our membership, and those who use our services regardless of their racial and cultural backgrounds, religion, age, sex, sexual orientation, and visible/invisible challenges.

Integrity ‐ We employ honesty and ethical decision‐making practices in all that we do.
